For the last 30 years, we have been both producers and consumers of environmental sampling and laboratory analytical data. We speak the language of field samplers, analytical technicians and quality assurance professionals. We are uniquely qualified to pore over environmental sampling and analytical data to assess strengths, weaknesses and outright deficiencies. Regardless of matrix or analysis, we are well-versed and amply qualified to assess sampling and analytical data in soil, water, air, concentrated hazardous and non-hazardous waste and commercial products.
In litigation support, assessing environmental data is often the least challenging component of the work. We recognize that often the biggest challenge is communicating the results of that effort in a way that makes sense to those not likely to be well-versed in these arcane topics. We pride ourselves on communicating assessments of often complex and sophisticated sampling and laboratory analytical data succinctly, so that judges and juries can understand how the data quality impacts the legal issues in play. We bring an eclectic mix of technical capabilities to each project and are confident in our abilities to meet the needs of our Clients, ranging from relatively simple projects to the most complex.
In our business, as with most, integrity and attention to detail are of utmost importance. We believe that, given the complexities of today's business and regulatory climate, more than ever, our personalities and capabilities position us as uniquely qualified to contribute in a meaningful way to the success of our Clients. We are dedicated to supporting often complex litigation by contributing sound technical expertise and regulatory awareness coupled with superb communication skills and a healthy dose of common sense.
The firm is presently comprised solely of the principal consultant and managing member, Mark Alessandroni. While this allows for significant flexibility in the types of projects we handle, we have ready access to a core group of similarly seasoned environmental professionals, ready to be a part of our team when demand for our services warrants. Mark is a professional engineer licensed in Florida and Georgia. He also holds the Certified Hazardous Materials Manager credential from the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management. He brings consulting experience in the environmental, engineering, public health, waste management, sampling and analytical data assessment fields to the firm. From 1991 to 2002, Mark practiced as an environmental and engineering consultant and manager for an established engineering and environmental consulting firm, Chastain-Skillman, Inc. Following that engagement, he co-owned and managed all aspects of an environmental analytical laboratory, Lakeland Laboratories, LLC, from 2002 until the sale of that company to Florida-Spectrum Environmental Services, Inc. in August 2014. Following his time at Lakeland Laboratories and through June 2016, Mark served as General Manager of a waste management firm, Clark Environmental, Inc., prior to venturing out and dedicating himself full-time to his present consulting practice with The Markay Consulting Group.
